Vaccination Clinics

All Jasper County Community School Districts have received their 1st Dose and their 2nd Dose vaccinations began March 11th, 2021.

Newton Schools, Newton Clinic, and Jasper County Health Department partnered to give the COVID vaccine to the education staff at Newton School District. They had 14 people working the clinic and completed around 150 vaccines in about 1.5 hours.  A special thanks to the volunteers, Barb Kaldenberg, and Judy Monroe. Newton School staff: Christine, Sandy, Clarissa, Jennifer, and Glenda. Jean Ferguson, RN, is always willing to fill in for clinics. Newton Clinic: Mark Thayer, Leeanna Price, Kim Landgrebek and the other nurses. Thank you all.

Colfax-Mingo School staff received 90 COVID-19 vaccines from Medicap Pharmacy in Newton in coordination with Jasper County Health Department on February 11, 2021. 

Lynnville-Sully Community School District staff members are among some of the first educators in Jasper County to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccines were allocated to Pella Regional Health Center Sully Clinic from Jasper County Public Health (JCPH). JCPH officials partnered with L-S School Nurse Justine Wyma to organize the Friday, February 12, 2021 clinic.

Medicap Pharmacy in Newton and Jasper County Health Department held a clinic on February 8, 2021 at The Way Church in Newton. 216 COVID vaccines were given to those age 65 and older. A special thanks to The Way Church of Newton for allowing us to utilize your facility during the snowstorm.
